That's why they patch on Tuesdays...hopefully gives them enough time to un-fubar everything by the weekend!

Everything seems ok now. I lost my billion +heal. But I did get 96 +heal, 6 stam, 4 int and 5 spirit thanks to the gear buffs. No complaints there.

Doing the orphanage quests gets you about 1500 lower city rep. And 50ish gold. (I wasn't keeping track). So I recommend 'em!

While it was on I couldn't cast any spells, so I never found out what would have happened.

No it's the Children's Week event. There are two this year. One starts in Lower City, Shattrath. The other in Stormwind.
Each one gives you a choice of three tiny useless pets!
