LEATHER set I can make:
Enchanted Clefthoof Boots
Mats = Heavy Knothide Leatherx4, Thick Clefthoof Leatherx16, Primal Manax6
Enchanted Clefthoof Gloves
Mats = Heavy Knothide Leatherx4, Thick Clefthoof Leatherx16, Primal Manax6
Enchanted Clefthoof Leggings
Mats = Heavy Knothide Leatherx6, Thick Clefthoof Leatherx24 Primal Manax8
MAIL set I can make:
Enchanted Felscale Boots
Mats = Heavy Knothide Leatherx4, Fel Scalesx10, Primal Manax6
Enchanted Felscale Gloves
Mats = Heavy Knothide Leatherx4, Fel Scalesx10, Primal Manax6
Enchanted Felscale Leggings
Mats = Heavy Knothide Leatherx6, Fel Scalesx12, Primal Manax8
I have lots of fel scales already...maybe 2.5 stacks or so. I only have one or two primal mana. The real issue is the clefthide leather. It had about a 30% drop rate pre patch, and now the drop rate is more like...I don't know, something crappy. I started farming to make these this morning, and I killed 40 and got 2. Eventually I got 10 and Slow got another 10 but it took way longer than before.
If you want one of these for the curator fight, just send me mats, or send me a PM or in-game mail and we will work something out. ALSO, Linnaris can make the gloves and the boots for both sets, I think.

I'll send you some clefthoof leather, I think I have a few stacks in the bank.

I farmed a bunch of mats today. I have 45 Thick Clefthoof Leather (+another 25 from Plasmo), 20 Heavy Knothide Leather and I think 42 Fel Scales. Plus about 4 Primal Mana.

Are you farming Clefthoofs or Clefthoof Bulls? When I was getting the mats for my Heavy Clefthoof set the drop rate on the leather from regular Clefthoofs was god awful. But the Bulls seemed to be dropping them at about the usual 30% droprate. I found that the best place to farm for the Bulls was to the north and south of the road just infront of the Horde town in Nagrand, just got watch out for the elite patrol that moves along there.

I was farming bulls, but I'm not anymore...no one expressed any interest in getting this gear, so I put the mats people had donated in the bank and used the ones I'd farmed to get my leatherworking to 375.

I will make you some if you send the primal mana. I think I have everything else.
I have some primal mana in the vault if anyone is in need of them for arcane resist gear. Just let me know!
I too would be very interested in this arcane resistance.

Here are the mats I have:
Thick Clefthoof Leather x 41
Heavy Knothide Leather x 30-ish
Primal Mana x 0
If there are other leatherworkers who have these patterns and can still get skillup from making them, let me know.

I have never been to kara so is arcane resist totally necessary? If we put those on we loose so much dps. Is it impossible to survive in there without it?
If so I will start farming.

The Curator fight involves some really really nasty arcane attacks. Especially for melee characters that are running around in the sparks. I have a ring and enchanted cloak that I've worn for it the last couple times to help the healers out.
The nice thing about the gear that Lyranne can make here is that they have numerous socketable slots and you can stuff quite a bit of dps into them.

I know that because of all the sockets, even when Viraj is in full bolt-tanking arcane resist she only loses about 200 +dam. Which, considering her real gear is at about, what, a thousand? is not significant at all. It was a really nice change to have resist gear be still useful.

I would be happy to help farm leather and fel scales if people need. Probably would be faster to do it in a group of 2 to limit downtime.
I've only done the Curator once (okay, it did take several tries), so I'm not sure of the answer to this question -- should healers bother with arcane resist? Most of the time I was able to keep sufficient distance to be fairly safe from the flares, and the pots covered most of the damage that did hit me.

Figure if your gear gives you an un-buffed arcane resist around 80, you'll resist about half of the curator's damage (roughly). 80 resist is really easy to hit, just have Fox make the ring & get the cloak from one of our friendly tailors. Then have me enchant the cloak.
Exact mats are here: http://www.victorious-secret.org/forums/showpost.php?p=109001&postcount=30
Melee folks may want slightly higher resist, as they'll be hit by the flare's chain lightning attack. In that case, the crafted armor pieces are sweet.

I would be interested in a set of the mail. Can't quite make it for myself yet. I should have most of the mats except for the primal mana. I will check my bank and see what I need. I will also check to see if I have any clefthoof leather.

Not really, no. At least I've never found it useful.

Basically, the Curator fight can be broken down into these roles -
1 tank (don't bother with ANY arcane resist, the vast majority of what you're getting hit by is physical)
1 "hateful bolt magnet" (usually someone with heavy DOT's like a warlock or shadow priest or such) - absolute maxed out arcane resist, 250+
healers - if you can wear any arcane resist without gimping your healing, go for it, otherwise the healing is too important really and you can run away from flares so don't bother.
DPS - any DPS people should wear as much arcane resist as they possibly can without gimping their DPS overly much. And like Fox said, with the sockets you can usually make up for a fair bit of it. The absolute most important thing in that fight is killing flares which do the arcane dmg as fast as possible so DPS is *critical*, but reducing the damage you take (particularly melee DPS since you have to run up to the flare) is a very, very close second.
Also, this is really the only fight in there where Arcane Resist is important, so you don't really need to be spending a ton of money or anything on it. With our Alchemists help, we've also typically brought a TON of Arcane Prot potions along for the ride which helps immensely. If you're willing and interested in donating mats for those potions and cauldrons, let Sapphyre (who runs vsalchemy) know and she'll tell you what is needed!

I have all the Heavy Knothide, 13.4 Primal Mana and about half the Fel Scales.
By the end of the weekend I should have all the mats and will send them to you for a set of the mail. Thanks Lyr.
