Looks like my internet connection at home is going to be tits-up for the next two weeks or so. I'll have forum access from work, but no game.

I'm going to see if I can get WoW going on my girlfriend's computer at her house, and if that works out at least I'll have SOME access.

:(

Angry German woman FTW.

Tanja was kind enough to offer her computer for my use, but probably shortly after realizing what kind of commitment that really was, she phoned up Telekom and went Thrid Reich on their ass.

My internet should be back up by Saturday :)

Despite the generosity of my friends, its gotten to the point where I had to file a grieveance in a German court over a violation of contract with Deutsche Telekom. I don't know if I'm going to have teh internets at my house for a long time :( .

You have access to tanks... get in one and head over to Douche-Kom over there and take care of the situation.

Say they are turrists or something.

And here I thought the Germans were at least efficient. Guess they're not without a dictator to whip them into shape...oh well, good luck with that, Brendar, I don't think I've ever even met you ingame!:(

REMIND THEM WHO WON THE WAR.

Consiously or otherwise, we tend to do it on a daily basis. The favorite quote is "Driving your cars, drinking your beer, F**king your women: you are 0-2 and still occupied, suckers!"

Victory!

I think...

Today I got an apology from the Director of Operations at Regensberg's Telekom office, was told to ignore my two outstanding bills (for bullshit fees) and was told my phone service will be restored immediately, but that the DSL will take a day or two. I'm happy, but I'll only believe it once I'm running around in Azeroth again.

Hope to see you again soon!

Believe it or not, most Germans don't like to be reminded that we UTTERLY DESTROYED THEIR ENTIRE COUNTRY, and that its only by our generosity that the city and the very office building he works in exists, rebuilt along with most of the rest of Germany through US dollars and investment through the 50s and 60s.

I'm usually not an "ugly american" and tend to be a polite guest in my host nation, however I've been pissed these last two weeks. Even my girlfriend said that I've been making more Nazi jokes than normal.

Did you hear the one about the German War on Terror...?

I would be super, super polite if I were there because I try to be a nice person too, but this does not stop me from being HUGELY amused by the 2 and 0 thing you said earlier.

Also by teaching your neighbor's weester to say "Keep your pimp hand strong." Of course, I would think that was hilarious no matter where and in what language it was done.

The history of the world in the 20th century is really amazing. Looking at the state of Germany's and Japan's governments and economy is a real testament to the generosity of the world, and the United States in general. Imagine a nation being utterly defeated yet not utterly destroyed....when that nation started the war! TWICE! IN THE SAME WAR! How is that even possible?
