Last week, in an attempt to balance RL needs and WoW desires, I canceled my Warcraft account.

The reasons were many, but I eventually decided that if I could find a way to balance these two things I would continue to subscribe to WoW, not out of any incredible love for the game, but because I really love the social aspect of playing with y'all.

After reading about the expansion, I've decided to keep my account canceled. Blizzard obviously has their money train figured out, and I'm not going to begrudge them what is an unmistakably successful business model. But I'm no longer going to give them money so that they can simply throw a new skin on the expansion template year after year.

I could go on, but who wants to hear me bitch about the expansion? No one.

So the 24th will be it. I'd originally planned on deleting my toons, but have since decided to keep them around in case Blizzard does something interesting.

Right now, I'm kicking the tires of some other online games. Puzzle Pirates looks pretty sweet so far. PM me if you want to hook up with for some pirate fun. (it's a joke, son. get it? hook! like hook hand!)
