Yesterday, I bumped into a noob who was actually really, really cool.
I was flying through Ashenvale, and I saw a message come across General that said something to the effect of, Amirena says, "How do you get to Camp Taurajo? I've been trying for an hour." This was asked in complete sentences, with punctuation.
Now...anyone who doesn't know how to get to the Barrens from Ashenvale, and doesn't know how to find out how to get there, is very, very new to the game. I noticed that she was a level 20 warlock. So I sent her a tell and asked where exactly she was, and she said she'd just passed Maestra's Post. So I explained how to get to Astranaar, and told her to pick up the flight path there, explained how to get through the barricade at the Barrens zone line, and warned her that Camp Taurajo was a horde town. This was news to her.
She had been very pleasant so far, so I offered to help her. She surprised me by saying no thanks, she'd try to do it herself, but she'd let me know if she couldn't handle it. So while I took care of things in Darnassus, she gave me updates on how she was doing. I told her to stop in Ratchet to get that flight path...and while she was there, I decided to come help her anyway. I came out there and met up with her, and after a little work we found the guy she needed for her succubus quest.
She was very appreciative of my help, and at no point did she ask me for gear or money. When she got the next stage of her quest, she thanked me, said she knew where it was, and she'd take care of it alone; she wasn't needy and didn't expect me to keep helping her. She spoke in complete sentences, spelled correctly, and usually even used capitalization. And she was very grateful for my help, because she said -- repeatedly -- that she had asked her own guild (Knites of Nih) for help, and no one had even answered her questions.
I suggested that she check out our web page, and told her I'd sponsor her if she wanted to apply. If any of you see her, group up with her. Newbies like her are rare!

Nonsense. He loves only me.
If by 'love' you mean 'a deep, ferocious loathing fueled by years of cutthroat oneupmanship.'

That's kinda cute. I'm always stunned when I meet someone in WOW who at least attempts to spell correctly and acts like a human being. ^^ I say we make her our new queen. Or junior queen. Agnes might assassinate any :cough: pretender.

I HATE THAT GUY. He totally hides and I can never remember where he is.
(Stranger does not know how Alliance warlocking works. HE IS AN EVIL UNDEAD LORK. <3 )
As for the newbie, yaye yaye I will totally be friends with anyone Stranger thinks is cool. (She likes pie, I bet.)

If she likes pie, isn't needy, is nice, and makes Stranger post on the forums, then she's in.
Until she becomes junior queen and I have her assassinated.

Nope...sounds like a cake eater; which is far superior.

Cake eater? CAKE EATER?? BURN THE WITCH!
I would really love to see an application that Doesn't Suck. For the past few days, all I've been getting are people who REALLY are not trying very hard... :p

He's just looking for a Naomee replacement (hehe). Sounds like a good fit to me, anyone that can string a complete sentence together without saying "you suck" has my vote :)
As of yet, she has not applied. :(
