So it is cool that the raid calendar is filling up and that guild raids are being run often. So how are the runs going? Should we post how they are going? Let us learn from your experiences. What kind of mistakes are you making? How far did the group make it? I am not thinking for the 5 man runs but for Kara and moving forward. Not so much instance strategy, we can get that from the internet, but, a guild progress with the runs. I am not yet a 70 but will be there soon. I want to become more active raiding a night or 2 a week with the guild. I am just kind of trying to prepare myself and try to avoid the skull slapping DOHHH! moments
The more we share the more we learn.
Thoughts, questions, opinions???

We have a thread in the raid leader forum that lists attendance, progress on runs and is now starting to show drops. It mainly helps with making sure that we know who hasn't had a chance to go in a while and right now there's nothing on the general forum. Not everyone is keyed for Kara yet and it isn't necessarily info that everyone wants to hear about.
Is this something that other people are interested in as well?

The thing I was most interested in was how the hand-selected group that went to a third (and maybe fourth? I dunno) Kara night to try to get farther in the instance went. So I just asked someone who went.
I think the main reason we haven't announced our Kara progress in the forums (outside of the sign up threads), is because raiding is not the guild's "main focus" and half of the guild (our more casual members) might start to feel alienated because of it. YOU ARE ALL LOVED. <3
I would just read the Wiki and prepare to go into Kara with good raid leaders who are well aware of past "oopses" and will fill you in on what Not to do, as well as what you Should do. This being a 10-man, it's must easier to give individual attention to the new people.
Another idea would be to ask someone of your class who's been in there a lot to give you some tips.

Great to be somewhere where I know I am loved!
I understand the casual nature of the guild and that is why this guild is a great fit for me. I think I am too casual of a player sometimes and need to get my bear ass, not to be confused with bare ass, in gear and hit 70! I do have an interest in playing with the big kids once I get all growed up. I just thought it would be interesting to read.

Possible Kara bears to speak to for guidance in Kara: Kaeryna, Adelyse, and maybe Shadian, but he usually does cat-form in there.
Also, if you just take a look at the sign-up sheets for Kara that are posted during the week, you can see which bosses we plan on hitting. Hope to see you in there soon!

Don't listen to Agnes, I'm an excellent source for bear info. Only reason I stay kitty in Kara most of the time is because I'm not there to tank.

<3 trees and moonkins.
I want to make a druid- I love their versatility and the multiple capabilities they bring to the group no matter their spec. I just don't want to level another character, and the idea of toting around 8 sets of gear depresses me.
I think I'll leave druid awesomeness to the experts :)

Druids should get an extra bag slot for all the different sets of gear they need!

Um... OK, but only if hunters do for all the arrows we must carry around!

No joke. My healer set and my DPS set have I think three items in common, and my bear set has zero items in common with healer or moonkin.
And then there are the other various sets I put on for this thing or that thing, like a +hit set for boss fights.

My healing set has nothing in common with either of my other 2 and my dps and tanking only have 1 thing in common. When I go to Kara I have 32 slots filled with gear.
However, I'll take the trade of having to carry all this gear for the versatility.

If hunters get an extra bag slot, then warlocks get an extra bag slot.
There are a whole lot of souls out there that don't belong to Viraj yet, and another bag slot - or two - might just make the difference.
"DEAR BLIZZARD DEVS, THANKS FOR THE WARLOCK WINGS. PLEASE ALSO CONSIDER EXTRA BAG SLOTS, EXTRA BANK SLOTS, AND FIVE HUNDRED BASE +SPELL HIT FOR ALL WARLOCKS, OR MAYBE JUST VIRAJ. LOVE, ALL WARLOCKS."

I have a lot of clefthoof in the bank that I farmed for a set I want made.... the thing is, I don't have the primal manas needed, so if anyone needs some clefthoof while I'm farming my manas totally hit me up, the clefthoof is a cinch to replace, and the manas are gonna take me forever LoL

No, but I need to start the grind for the goods... I will hit 69 tonight so it is time to work on gathering the components for the strength of the clefthoof set.
Looks like I will need:
Heavy Clefthoof Boots -
4 - Heavy Knothide Leather
20 - Thick Clefthoof Leather
4 - Primal Earth
2 - Rune Thread
Heavy Clefthoof Leggins
6 - Heavy Knothide Leather
34 - Thick Clefthoof Leather
4 - Primal Earth
2 - Rune Thread
Heavy Clefthoof Vest
6 - Heavy Knothide Leather
40 - Thick Clefthoof Leather
4 - Primal Earth
2 - Rune Thread
In total:
16 Heavy Knothide Leather
94 Thick Clefthoof Leather
12 Primal Earth
6 Rune Thread
And then a friendly guild member that actually has the patterns! Ugh the grinding for this stuff will probably push me to lvl 70!

I did not see primal mana needed for the set? http://www.thottbot.com/?set=574
Is there another set that needs primal mana?

Clefthoof set works extremely well for tanking, not so much for DPS. But there are a few quest rewards that will get you started on your dps set, as well as a chest piece you can find on the AH pretty cheap.

I am bored at work and found Band of Many Prisms
That seems pretty nice for kara for a druid tank and also found Ring of Arcane Shielding
The first one is from ramparts on heroic. The second one a jewelcrafter can make. Anyone have them?
