Okay so I wasn't really splitting hairs...more like yanking them out. My modem had been acting wonky all last week, and yesterday it took the great leap into the unknown. Blessedly the cable company was actually open on a national holiday so I got to get a new box :D Yay me right? Nooooo. The guy at the counter had me explain exactly how Lancelot had died (what, like you don't name you modems :rolleyes: ) and I told him, then he asked me how my digital cable had been, and I told him sucky actually, but the weather has been too. Turns out my splitter was the culprit (he took Lancelot anyway), so he told me how to quickly and cheaply resurrect that as well, and all was right in my world.

Until I get home and find out I have not only 1, not only 2...not even 3, but 4 freaking splitters under there!!! After a few hours we think we got the right one, and as you can see I can finally connect. Digital looks dandy too, yippee.

But why in the world are there 4 freaking splitters?? What do you do with them all?

There's already one in all the bedrooms (3) and the livingroom which is open to the kitchen/dining room.... although the bathroom is pretty devoid. Hmmmm.

I think i'm just paranoid that the other three splitters can gang up on the fourth splitter that's being used and beat it up and make my internet go boom again.

I have Fios TV, Internet, and phone. Love it so much. Anyone else have it? Just have a 3 splitter. My Fios has never gone down...knock on wood.
