Hello VS!
As Fox mentioned in his sticky post, we are aware there is some unrest among VSers these days. And we are going to fix it. But in the meantime, I wanted to point out a few things:
Kara
Introducing raids like Kara into a guild like VS is a very tricky thing to do. We are constantly balancing things to keep the majority of people happy. We will progress as fast as we can through there, but without compromising the casual atmosphere we all want to maintain. Of course, this means some people will want to leave so they can experience it faster. And we wish them all the best. For the rest of us, let's all be patient while we work out the kinks. We have gotten this far, haven't we?
Raid Leaders
There has been a lot of strain on our Raid Leaders lately because our progression in Kara has slowed significantly. This is no one's fault... it's more a combination of things (people busy with real life, temporary shortage of tanks, new people getting keyed, lack of sign-ups leading to improper group make-up, etc). I am asking that everyone please be kind to the raid leaders. Without them, we could not have progressed this far and will not get much further. Please, give a raid leader a hug today.
New Kara Players
As we get more and more players keyed, we will have more newbies joining us in Kara. We will, of course, try to keep new players in any one run to a minimum since it can be a little tricky for the Raid Leaders to try and explain everything to numerous new people at a time. But please, if you find yourself in a raid that is struggling, remember that we all struggled at one point. So cut the newbies some slack. If you want to offer them some advise, then by all means, go for it. But be nice about it! Raiding is very different from 5-mans and they will need some time to adjust. Next time you are in Kara, give a newbie some cake.
Tank Shortage
I have beat this one to death so I won't dwell on it. Be nice to our tanks while we get out of this little crunch. Feed them pie.
Complaints Department
I know there will always be personality conflicts. And people will undoubtedly doubt the decisions of the officers from time to time. We are not perfect, although we do try our hardest. If something concerns you, please bring it to the attention of an officer rather than spreading negativity on the forums or in guild chat. Often we can clarify the misunderstanding without upsetting other guildies. Guild chat and the forums are meant to be a form of communication and entertainment -- NOT a bitch session.
You know what I love about our guild? The fact that we usually DO play nice together and have an awesome time. And when we have little issues creep up, we tend to deal with them then bounce right back.
So, feel free to PM me your complaints, but in this thread, I'd like to hear what you all love about our guild. Because that's what's important, isn't it? :D

I love this guild, plain and simple. I have been in casual guilds that couldn't quite get critical mass to start end-game content or even run 5-mans regularly. I was in a raiding guild pre-BC that got too serious for me. This guild's attitude is perfect for me, and I am really happy that you welcomed me here. We have great people and a lot of fun. Sure, it's not for everyone, but what is?
Many thanks to our officers, raid leaders, tanks, and, well, everyone who make this such a great way to unwind from work, family, and the other RL pressures. You are great WoW players -- and more importantly, great people!

I love that I've met so many cool people here and that I don't have to deal with braindead twits.

I love this guild and everyone in it! I give all raid leaders and the higher ups a great big hug! *SQUEEEEEZE*
This is the best guild I have ever been in. Let's not fight. Let's have a big old orgy instead!

I loved the relaxed fun atmosphere. I love that we have remebered that this is a game and as such our primary goal is to have fun. And still we manage to progress and get things done. I have played since the first day of launch, raiding, grinding, twinking guilds, with intense raid schedules, DKP, and restrictions are not that hard to find. True fun, relaxing guilds that accept people for who they are, are rare. Most guilds say they are casual or fun in their ads but it does not take long before you find that this is not true.
We have managed to maintain a small family guild atmosphere with 400+ members. YOU GUYS ROCK! Don't ever forget that. Want Proof?
My wife and I spend over $200 transfering our alts over from Zuljin, and our guild there was not that bad, you guys are just that much better.

Awww... thanks, Doodle! *sniff*
and can i have sum money pls? k. thanks.
Just to clarify Sapph's comments on our Kara situation a bit, the producers and directors are working on some new ways of setting up our raid runs so that we do continue to make progress. Of course we're not going to fly through end-game stuff as fast as the raiding guilds do but we are going to get through it. I'm sure no one likes the fact that a month ago we were nearly clearing Kara week after week and then now we're struggling with what should be easy stuff. In response to the frustration, we're hoping to have our "raids" set up in such a way that we're making progress every week while making sure everyone gets to participate. As with everything in VS, it's a tough balancing act but we aim to keep the VS culture foremost in our minds as we change things.
As always, if you have ANY questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to speak with one of the officers. Agnes is the only one that bites.

I don't like MMORPGs, and WoW in particular. I only started this game cause of my stupid friends. Of course, I got addicted and then they all quit. In the mean time, I had met VS and now, with no one playing that I ever met in real life, I count many of you among my friends.
Being stationed where I am, I don't get much chance to interact socially with anyone my age (its a bunch of 18-20 year old soldiers or 35-year old majors and colonels) so logging onto WoW and just venting or chatting is one of my key social outlets (as sad as that is). Thank god I found a great german girl that tolerates me waking up in the middle of the night to sign online and play with my e-friends :)
VS is THE reason I still pay my subscription and play WoW. Thank you all for being such a great group of players, and especially thank you to our core of leaders and officers who have maintained this guild and its character through many changes and tough times!

This guild rocks, that's the short of the long of it. It's been a long time since I've actually looked forward to playing WoW, and it's all thanks to you guys. My very first guild experience was a casual guild, so casual it was damn near comatose. I think our biggest guild accomplishment was UBRS... it was just that bad. My second guild experience was, in a word, scary. I had been promised cookies and milk, and nice friendly, casual guild. When I joined, there were no cookies, no milk, and they were only nice and friendly if you weren't screwing up in the instance. I still wonder what their dictionary says when you look up casual LoL
You guys combined the ambition of the second with the awesome laid back vibe of the first. Even my daughter notices a difference when I play. (I believe her exact words to her father were, Mommy doesn't curse at the monitor anymore, and she hasn't thrown the headset once!) Any guild that can cure my computer related turrets is worth it's weight in gold :)

I play horde. My horde guild is very much focused on raiding -- they run Kara constantly, they're hitting Gruul's Lair, etc. And they're boring. I try to avoid listening to guild chat when I'm on as my horde, and I never even read the boards. They're uber, sure, but that's all they are.
We're fun. I love spending time with this guild. We have such a good time together, and that's so important. I would rather be in this guild than in any other guild kicking Kael's ass or whatever.
Look, we know that a lot of the cool kids want to move on and go to some of the raids that we haven't done yet. Fantastic. I think that'd be cool to see, too. Let's come together to get people geared up, keyed up, and leveled up, so we've got enough people to participate. The more people who can come play, the more likely we'll be to move ahead. It's a shame to see people leaving rather than helping to effect changes that will make us stronger.
I love this guild. I enjoy playing with you people. You guys make me laugh and smile. When there are problems, I want to help fix them.
So let's get fixin'.

No clue what it was but I found the youtube clip. Don't think I should post it, lol. Very very funny.
I love this guild very much. Everyone is so nice and helps everyone. Unlike the last guild I was in. If you weren't 60 (no tbc at the time) they didn't answer you in guild chat. I left when they started demanding a certain numbers of runs a week.
hugs!!! :) :)

Yaye, pie!
I'm a big fan of this guild. We're a bunch of adults, I like that. We can sit around and a) type in mostly complete sentences with punctuation and b) not have to worry that someone's kid might see some of the things we chat about. WoW is the only game I play. It's the longest I've ever stuck with any game. If this guild sucked, I'd have quit the game long ago. It doesn't suck. I love logging in. Hell, I've even started fishing. :)
I love tanking, I'm online as much as I can be. I just have to be a little flexible in my schedule.

Hey I just "quit" but it's all about me and nothing about this guild. I'm a shadow member, meaning I'm not in the core but I can't imagine a better guild. You all are great! Hope everyone sees the big picture concerning our guild and not get tunnel vision!
