I'm a miner working for netherwing (as Aessell). But anyone can use the ore, if they, y'know, get 40 of them stored up. (Go on, scoff: I have 35 hides stored up sitting in my bank because it kept dropping).

Word on wowhead is that I can only get the ore quest if I am a miner. And if I'm not a miner, I can't get the quest so I can't turn it it.

However, I haven't actually tested this myself. So wowhead may be full of lies.

You can only pick up the Ore, Leather, or Herb daily's if you have those gathering professions.
