Sometimes in Kara I say, "Oh, I have an addon that does X" and someone asks me what it is. Then I forget to tell them about it. So here's the list of useful healer addons for Kara.
1) UberShackle, http://downloads.curse.es/details/7086/
It does just one thing, puts "Shackle Broken!!!" in the middle of your screen when your shackle is, um, broken. You have to be using the shackling macro that we use in Moroes.
2) DeadlyBossMods, http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/4940/
Not healer specific, obviously. But it gives you some good warnings in fights.
3) eCastingBar, http://www.curse.com/downloads/details/5056/
Lets you arrange casting bars so that you can see what you're casting, what your target is casting & what your focus target is casting. This functionality is built into WoW, but eCB makes it prettier.
4) Pitbull, http://files.wowace.com/sw-p.html
A super-powerful unit frame manager. With the right customization it'll show you the debuffs you need to remove, the buffs that you've cast. But the most important thing it does is show you the estimated effect of the heal you're casting. Say the MT is missing 3000hp; when you start casting a heal pitbull will show you, roughly, how much health the MT will have at the end. And it shows overheal, so you can be more efficient with your casting.
5) VisualHeal, http://www.wowace.com/wiki/VisualHeal
If Pitbull is too big & complex, VisualHeal offers just the estimated heal functionality in a small package. Very nice. It also shows if other people are healing your target. Extra Nice!

Missed one.
6) DoTimer, http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/3260/
This will show you all of the DoTs and HoTs that you have active & how long each of them has until they expire. So you can see that the renew on the MT needs to be refreshed and that you should put another SW:P on the boss.
Works for all classes, obviously. But it's especially good for Druids, Lorks & Priests because of all their 'over time' spells.

The VisualHeals mod is huge for reducing overhealing and it is even good for non-healers to have so you can see if a heal is incoming or if you should be popping a potion.

QFT. I was flipping out on Wednesday because I was missing DoTimer (for whatever reason), and therefore had to pay far more attention to when Seduce was up, when I had to renew any dots, or when Shadow Vulnerability procced. LIFE IS BRUTAL WITHOUT MODS.
