I miss Calvin. Those are wonderful.
And it's GREAT to see him doing his thing again, instead of PISSING ON A FORD LOGO OR PRAYING AT A CROSS (as per every vehicle in Texas would have you imagine).

We have plenty of that stupid stuff in the DC area too. God I hate those. I think they started with car logos, and just devolved from there.

Im so with you there Lux. I adored Calvin and Hobbes, I was upset when they stopped appearing in the paper. I have the collection books and my kids love them. To see Calvin as a drugged out tshirt or pissing on a ford really just miffs my muffler.
Oh and Rastus, the "car accident" one has always been my favorite of the snowmen. :)

Yup Calvin and Hobbes is my favourite comic. I have all the books.
I don't think any other comic has made me laugh so hard.

The Calvin car stickers are trademark infingements. Bill Watterson (artistic genius, btw) never drew them, nor gave anyone the rights to do so. It's interesting that many of them are marketed and sold in Christian bookstores, being that they are unlawfully obtained. Bill has always sought (unsuccessfully) to keep his images from being commercialized and cheapened...whew don't get me going on trademark infringement and stealing artwork...it's happened to me too.

That set is a great example of BW's incredible skill and talent. A dozen different angles of the same idea. I love Calvin and Hobbes, and I really treasure the books he's done.

Yeah, I guess BW is too much of a recluse to bother chasing after all the infringers. What's particularly galling to me is that the infringing stickers are so antithetical to what Calvin is all about. What the hell does Calvin have to do with some stupid car brand rivalry????
Calvin will always hold a special place in my heart. He was in his heyday during my formative years (my 20s). I am sorely tempted to buy the huge hardbound anthology of all the cartoons. Maybe one day...
