Yesterday (Monday afternoon) I heard a news report of a man who called 911 earlier in the day stating that he had killed his daughter. Today more details are released regarding this case.

It's just so upsetting I don't even know what to say right now....

Aqsa Parvez's friends told CBC News that the teen had been having arguments with her father because he allegedly wanted her to wear a traditional hijab.

I'm not sure how much I can say about this without insulting people that have a religious side to them. As a atheist / non-religious person... it's easy for me to talk trash about things like this without thinking of how it may offend people.

I can respect peoples religious choices... to a point. When you kill your own daughter because she won't wear a head scarf... that point has been reached and well surpassed.

Granted... this is assuming it is a religious issue. The hijab is a "traditional muslim head covering", making this a religious issue to me. Maybe I just don't understand, and I'm not sure I want to.
