I recently switched from using Deadly Boss Mods to BigWigs, as part of my 'use more Ace mods' quest. And I'm loving it. It gives great warnings for all the Kara and ZA fights.

But wait, there's more!

Now you can also get LittleWigs, which will give you warnings for all of the 5-man bosses. Perfect for heroics, especially the fights that you saw once, 7 levels ago, and have no idea how they work.

Latest version of LittleWigs can be downloaded here:

And if you want to give BigWigs a try, it's here:

I -love- BigWigs. I -love- LittleWigs. They both make me happy in my pants.

The nice thing about them being Ace is that when an update is posted for one of the timers and you're using one of the updaters, you'll get it. This is a similar reason why I switched from Atlas + Gatherer to Cartographer + Cartographer Database.

Yes, props to Beam for telling about LittleWigs. I have added it to my homebrew Ace updater.

Out of curiosity, why homebrew? And is it something you care to share? If I remember correctly, you're a Mac user. There's a few updaters available for OSX.

I saw 2 updaters for OSX. One was Leopard-only, and I'm still on 10.4. The other one had hardcoded the location of the WoW install, and I've installed WoW in a different directory (~/Applications instead of /Applications). I wrote the developer & asked him if he planned to change his code & got a "Maybe!" in reply.

So I just wrote a shell script that grabs the latest build of all the Ace addons I like, unzips them & copies them to my Addons directory. It's not as clever as one of the real updaters, but it gets the job done.

I'm using macaceupdater, which is in google code (I'm not sure what that means); I'm also in 10.4. It has been working fine. I'm pretty sure it allows you to change your wow directory.

I'll give it a look, thanks.
