Hello Healers! (or anyone else who has smarts on the subject!)

So my little priest has been growing and I think I am now at the point where I need marcos or mods. I was wondering what ones you use. I have read past threads on this, and it is my impression that Grid is a favorite but to be honest it just seems like way more than I need. I could be wrong though!

I am looking for something that will tell me when a party member has another heal coming in, when buffs are up, and if it will scream at my dumbass when the tank is about to die all the better. As well if it will have a button that I can press and poof I am in healing gear that rocks too.

I also want something that I can turn off easy so it isn’t all over my screen when I am playing with my hunter.

I am new at mods so if it is easy to set up that is the better, or if it has good support documents I am happy with that as well.

Is there anything that can help me?

Thanks Guys and Gals!

Almost any party frame mod will do most of those things. The gear change will have to come from another mod: something like ClosetGnome, Outfitter or ItemRack. (also, Blizz is going to add gear changing effects to the default UI. Eventually)

The main party frame mods are:

Pitbull
ag_unitframes
Xperl/Perl
Grid

All of them do pretty much the same stuff, honestly. It's just a matter of preference. Grid becomes more useful in large raids, I find.

As for who to heal, all the addons will show you who has aggro. Heal that person.

A good trick is to use Target's Target and Target's Target's Target windows. Then you can see which mob the MT has targeted, and you can see who that mob has targeted. If that mob ever targets anyone that's not the MT, then heal the new target.

Lastly, any addon can be used on a by-character basis. At the character selection screen, click Addon and then use the dropdown to choose a character. Then you can decide which addons will be used by that character. So Gifchick gets all the hunter addons & Charchick gets all the healing addons.

If you decide to give Grid a whirl. Here is a fantastic guide to setting it up.

I use Outfitter to change gear on my Druid (And put on my crafting outfit on Fox) if you need any help with configuring it just ask me ingame and I'll walk you through it.
